Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and sometimes a pen or pencil. The geocacher signs the log with their established code name and dates it, to prove that they found the cache. After signing the log, the cache must be placed back exactly where the person found it. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (Tupperware or similar) or ammunition boxes can also contain items for trading, such as toys or trinkets, usually of more sentimental worth than financial. The Connections Team Building version is custom created for your organization in your specific location

The image and structure of the beehive often represents the ideal for a team that works together for the greater good of the whole. Each member of the group asserts their individual skills in conjunction with their colleagues, creating a community that not only functions but thrives. Beehives represent not only the pinnacle of team building, but how valuable the work of the colony can be to the ecosystem of the world around them. In developing a unique charitable Colorado team building experience, we’ve dug deep into the principles of the hive, and produced activities that will help your group gain a deeper understanding of the community they’re a part of.
Teams will learn all about organization, membership, division of work, supporting the team, and communication through the Beehive model. While they compete in challenges that will help improve those skills they will be gathering supplies to build their own bee farm. The best thing about this program is the warm feeling of philanthropy that comes with donating beehives to rural and impoverished areas locally or worldwide. When beehives are donated, they create a sustainable family income for their new owner. A diverse range of workers can produce and sell many products with the wax and honey from their hives, such as beeswax candles, honey-flavored baked goods, healing salves, bee pollen, hand and facial creams and more!
In a society filled with disposable products, we’ve come to view toys as just trinkets that can be played with then discarded. But they can be so much more. They can encourage creative thought in children, and provide them with learning opportunities. Their construction, too, is a blend of problem solving skills and the imagination. This is why we’ve created a team building activity in Colorado that both gives to children in need, and builds on your employees’ varied skill sets.
Your group will create cohesion and learn valuable communication skills while making charitable contributions to local children’s charities. The teams must solve challenges and puzzles successfully as a team to earn the supplies they need to create engaging toys that will be donated. We bring all the tools, parts, and accessories to make each toy unique, and allow the group to use their creativity in its production.
This activity can be arranged in a way that takes into account your company’s individual budgetary requirements, with materials adjusted accordingly.
When we think of Denver Metro team building activities, or even our company’s charitable contributions, the idea of creating stuffed toys is not always the immediate angle we jump to. However, these cute animals are often a key part of our shared culture, and represent to many of us a source of comfort during difficult times, and an object of joy in our childhoods. Each of your team members will likely have their own stuffed toy memories they can bond over, and we’ve crafted an experience that will see them working together to help offer children in need the chance to build their own memories of comfort and fun.
Your group will create cohesion and learn some vital communication skills while making charitable contributions to local children’s charities. The teams must solve challenges and puzzles successfully, using each team member’s talents and knowledge, in order to earn the supplies they need to create the toys to be donated. They’ll then use Connections Team Building & Training’s special mobile stuffed animal factory to make a collection of new companions for children, including options for plush skins, clothing & accessories.
We understand that budgets can vary, so we’ve also arranged these challenges in a way that can be tailored to your group’s needs, while still being able to affect children’s lives in this valuable, heartfelt way.
Sustainability is increasingly becoming a salient feature in business today. Organizations like yours are understanding their responsibilities to both their local environment, as well as their role in the global picture. Sustainable practices can certainly be implemented as part of day-to-day company activities, but it’s also important to provide team members with an insight into the company’s sustainable activities can impact individuals in cultures very different from their own.
We’ve created an opportunity for team building in Denver Metro that truly allows your company to change the lives of others. As the world’s population increases and nonrenewable sources of energy for cooking dwindle (e.g., firewood in Asia and Africa) or seriously damage the ozone layer (e.g., fossil fuels), the need to adopt clean, renewable energy sources and devices that utilize these sources grows ever more critical. One important tool that helps address these issues is the use of Solar ovens.
We begin by working with you to tailor your event to fall in line with your Corporate Social Responsibility policies. During the event, each of your company’s teams will work together to complete problem solving challenges in order to win the supplies they need to construct a solar oven. After following instructions and utilizing technical skills to complete their device, they’ll use an oven at the end of the event to bake cookies for one another as a special treat. Connections Team Building & Training then sends the ovens to third world countries, where being able to boil water can be the difference between life & death.
Sports can be the ultimate in team activities. They offer opportunities for bonding, problem solving as a group, utilizing the individual talents of team members, as well as being a huge amount of fun! We’ve worked to create a football fantasy experience that is unique to the team building needs of companies in Denver Metro.
Your adventure will unfold at the world-renowned Empower Field at Mile High. The field is perfectly situated near downtown Denver and is truly a magical place to play host to your company’s team building experience. The fantasy scenario surrounds our new Summer Football League (SFL), which takes full advantage of the field in the off season. Congratulations; your group has made it to the Pros! Your group will play the role of teams vying for a coveted slot at Empower Field. They’ll participate in a variety of challenges, each carefully designed to make your team think and interact with one another in entirely unique and fun ways.
Golf has long represented an opportunity for business people to make valuable connections, build relationships with other leaders in the field, and share ideas while taking in the fresh air and ruining a perfectly good walk. However, we figured that team building events in Denver could switch up this tradition in a way that amps up the fun factor while encouraging groups to lean into their problem solving, technical, and creative skills.
Our Par for the Course events are ideal for larger groups, which will be divided into 9 or 18 teams. Each team will then be provided with all the necessary equipment to design and construct their own fun and challenging putt-putt golf hole. This is also an opportunity to see first hand how each set of personalities approaches the artistic and engineering aspects of their hole; will they lean into crazy fun, or are they attempting to make the most difficult obstacles they can imagine?
We bring all the supplies for the holes to the venue. However, in order to create a truly fun and authentic experience, we also provide a general store, staff facilitators, and an entertaining ‘Golf Pro’ emcee.

Creating new and exciting team building events in Colorado provides the opportunity to combine fun and challenge with an insight into the environment that surrounds us. Colorado’s natural landscapes are a valuable and vulnerable resource, and we each have a responsibility to ensure they are protected for generations to come. The Conservation Rangers event gives teams a chance to use their individual talents and team dynamics to simulate playing a key role in its preservation.
The scenario informs groups that the Colorado National Forest and Plains have been scheduled to be turned into a trailer park, due to a government snafu. In order to get the land transferred back to the park service, the government has agreed to a plan in which the Rangers must prove their competence. Your group represents the Rangers, and will be split into teams to participate in wacky, challenging tasks to determine who will be in charge of the conservation effort.
We have built the Colorado Rangers scenario to be tailorable to your organization’s needs, what you hope participants to get out of the experience, and suitability for the choice of environment in which the event will take place. The selection of challenges to choose from includes:
River Raft Race
Web of Rangers
Campfire Song & Dance
Pine Cone Catapult
Seed Delivery System
Eagle Egg Safety
Wildlife Vision Capture
Ranger Coat of Arms
Camper Construction Race
The Colorado landscape is one of the true wonders of our environment, offering groups from across the world to experience incredible opportunities. We consider it a privilege to welcome both local and international groups to engage in team building beyond the Denver Metro limits, and appreciate the wonders of our natural world. For our Jeep 4x4 Scaventure, we’ve crafted an exciting scavenger hunt adventure with an extreme sports and high-tech twist.
You’ll have the chance to go off-road as we send your teams with an expert guide into the backcountry, equipped with a GPS device, camera, and a list of clues & challenges. Together they’ll explore the Colorado wilderness in a four-wheel drive jeep, following hints and completing tasks. Utilizing both their individual talents and group dynamics, they’ll form closer bonds and have the time of their lives problem solving in our natural surroundings.

Some of the most memorable team building events in the Denver Metro area lean into what Colorado does best. When exploring possibilities for our Scaventure experiences, we’re always looking for the fun and fascinating aspects our local areas can offer. Those unique twists for groups to explore as they strengthen their collaborative relationships, and have a lot of fun. Brewventure blends problem solving with the rich brewery culture of Denver Metro.
Teams will need to craft a strategy to finish their assigned tasks and venture to local breweries. Along the way they’ll be challenged to work together, using their individual talents and group dynamics to answer trivia, take photos, solve puzzles, and find specific locations. At each brewery teams will get to try local beers as part of their quest to complete custom challenges. The teams will be given a designated time in which they must meet at the final target location, and must complete as many items assigned by a smartphone app as possible.
We provide everything needed for your group to enjoy a fun, enriching hunt. Our staff will be on hand to explain all the rules, send the teams on their way, and act as referees in calculating the results at the end of the event.
We’re used to the tools of our digital landscape being applied indoors; confined to our offices and homes, or drawing our attention away from the beauty of the outdoors. But what if there were opportunities to utilize technology in order to enhance their enjoyment of the landscape, and build stronger bonds? Our Hi Tech Scaventure blends the digital and physical worlds to create an unforgettable event for team building in Denver.
Your group will be divided into teams, with each team being assigned a colored bandanna, and directed to download the Smartphone Adventure app. This doesn’t mean each team member will spend their day glued to their phones; only one person from each team will need to have a smartphone, and download and log into the app. The teams are given additional directions and rules by our onsite staff, and are then sent on their way to complete a range of challenging and fun tasks! Teams will need to work together, utilizing their individual talents and group collaboration to complete different activities, answer trivia, and discover locations to unlock additional questions, photo challenges, and directions to visit specific landmarks. The teams will be given a designated time in which they must meet at the final target location, and must complete as many items designated within the app as possible.
We provide everything needed for your group to enjoy a fun, enriching hunt. Our staff will be on hand to explain all the rules, send the teams on their way, and act as referees in calculating the results at the end of the event.
Introducing a new product or service in your business can be a genuinely exciting experience. This is a sign of company growth, of the leadership’s confidence in employees’ abilities to create, and a testament to the hard work and dedication of all those who have contributed. However, in order to make it a success, it’s important for all employees to gain a thorough working knowledge of the product, and the impact it can have. Connections Team Building & Training’s Lights, Camera, Action! brings a fun, creative team building activity into the mix.
We bring the cameras, props, costumes, production staff, and a ‘director’ emcee to the location of your choice. Your teams will utilize their communication and creative skills to script, perform, and film a movie trailer for your organization. They will use their in-depth knowledge of your chosen products or services to create a clear, concise communication of the product’s key advantages, and the values your business represents.
This isn’t just a standard, dull advertisement production, either. Your teams will have the opportunity to have fun by adding some drama to your company culture. Perhaps they’ll find a comedic angle to bring some laughs to your sales spiel. They may even find themselves creating the ultimate end-of-the-world scenario that can only be thwarted by your company. The entire group will have a great time producing their masterpieces, and viewing all the finished products.
Anybody who has spent time creating a meal with others knows that communication and organization is key to making it work, and to make the results delicious! We’ve crafted a unique and fun team building event that takes place in the kitchen. You and your team will get the opportunity to bond while you create a gourmet dinner, guided by a professional chef and their culinary team.
Gourmet meal planning and execution explores teams’ ability to communicate effectively, follow detailed instructions, and apply their technical and creative skills to produce tasty treats. We provide the expertise, and handle the dreaded preparation and clear up, so that your teams can focus on their roles as part of a successful unit. Together, your team will produce delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
We’ve also incorporated scope for this type of event to be tailored to your team’s requirements. It can be produced for anywhere up to 60 members at a time, and can fit a variety of dietary needs so that all team members can enjoy the fruits of their labor afterwards. For an extra fun or competitive edge, we can even arrange for your company to take on a Chili cook-off or Bake Off experience.

So you think you can construct a catapult that can out launch all others? Not so fast Mr. Engineer!
We’ve crafted an awesome construction event that has a dynamic and theatrical climax that your group will love! Your teams will get to dive into this combination of hands-on and cerebral challenges, testing their ability to problem solve as a team in order to create the most effective large-scale slingshot device! Catapult Chaos turns outdoor team building in Denver Metro — Boulder, Aurora, Golden and beyond — into an opportunity to push your group’s competitive and collaborative abilities in a way that embraces the extremes of fun.
With an ample supply of wood, sticks, hinges, wheels, pins, nails, screws, glue and tools the teams will compete to build a working catapult. Each teams’ score is based on creativity, function, aesthetics, and of course how far, fast, and accurately it launches various objects. But the road to victory isn’t quite that simple! Teams will have to compete in challenges to earn their materials before they can get into the creative aspects of constructing their machine. This competition will challenge each team’s planning, engineering, inventory management and teamwork skills.
Organizations face a wide variety of challenges; some predictable, others entirely unexpected. Success in business can often rely upon our employees’ ability to understand the challenges they face and effectively adapt to those events which catch them off-guard, with each understanding their role in the team when this occurs. We’ve taken the time to craft a unique team building event for companies in Denver Metro that explores their abilities in the face of change management.
This team program is based on the best selling book “Who Moved my Cheese” by Spencer Johnson. In the book, 4 characters in a maze are looking for their cheese (a metaphor for what each of us wants in life), our event focuses on the lessons these characters must learn:
The “Handwriting is on the wall”
“Adapt to change quickly”
We ask groups to work on a specific challenge project together with a specific set of parameters and key assigned roles within the group. Then we “change” everything and see how teams react. They must work together to successfully adapt, and create the project despite the new rules, players, deadlines, etc. This mimics the challenges they’ll face in real life, where at any time during their projects the team members, parameters and deadlines might change, but they still have to make it work together.
Even in industries that have little or no connection to STEM fields, the skills utilized in engineering tasks can help to strengthen any team. The technical aspects are enhanced by soft skills such as problem solving, communication, interpersonal interactions, and the ability to work under pressure. Connections Team Building & Training has developed our Bridging the Gap event as a blend of fun and creativity that helps to foster these skills in teams.
This is an opportunity for your members to experience a little of the exciting world of being engineers. Using fun trivia and crazy challenges, the teams will earn all the needed materials and plans to build a bridge. They’ll learn that by actively listening and communicating effectively they will gain vital details that will be a benefit once the building aspect begins.
Each team plays the role of an engineering firm vying for the ultimate contract to build the next world-renowned bridge. Their potential clients will be the suppliers of important information and the final judges. The team’s bridge mock-up must be creative, offering a unique design perspective, but also have the ability to withstand the specialized Connections Team Building & Training Crush-o-Meter. They’ll learn from the failures, celebrate their successes, and build stronger connections with one another.
Riding a bike is often a key aspect of our formative experiences. It provides us with healthy exercise, enhances our physical and cognitive skills, and offers the opportunity for incredible adventures and the memories that go along with them. Unfortunately, there are children in our state that don’t have those opportunities. We’ve created a Colorado team building event that engages your team’s technical and creative skills, while allowing your company the chance to make a real impact on the lives of children.
This bicycle building experience will touch your hearts and inspire your minds. It is filled with fun and excitement, as well as the opportunity to develop skills, tools and insights that will make a dramatic and powerful effect on your team. However, this activity goes beyond the simple ability to follow instructions and work together. Teams will compete in problem solving puzzles and challenges in order to be rewarded with the tools and pieces needed to construct the bikes. Participants get to bond through their competitive spirit, harness their individual talents, and engage their empathy to understand their effect upon the world. The bicycles produced by your teams will be donated to local children’s organizations like The Tennyson Center, YMCA, A Precious Child, CASA or Boys & Girls clubs.
